Scalem Joins Team

The group involved in this project is pleased to announce that a seasoned veteran TV pro has joined the effort to get this program off the ground.

Jim Scalem began his public television career in 1958, and he held a number of executive positions over the years. He is is a former Executive Vice President of Media Productions International, and today is Owner and Managing Director of Jim Scalem Productions.

Scalem's PBS music-oriented productions include shows featuring individual performers such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Bobby Darin, Perry Como, John Tesh, Yanni, Michael Crawford and Rosemary Clooney, as well as pop groups like The Eagles, The Kingston Trio, The Moody Blues and The Mamas and the Papas.

Topically, Scalem's programs have ranged from the San Francisco Opera and "self help" shows to historical tributes and specials aired on major networks. He is enthusiastic about our PBS music therapy/autism project and intends to provide whatever support he can to help make this program a success.
